Fourteen schools and colleges from across Cornwall will perform at the Eden Project, showing their creative responses to Ghost Dances, a 1981 masterpiece from choreographer Christopher Bruce. Visually referencing celebrations of the Day of the Dead, driven by traditional Chilean music, Ghost Dances was one of the most significant contemporary dance pieces of its era.

Each school has worked with an Animateur dancer from the internationally renowned dance company, Rambert, plus a skilled team of composers funded by Cornwall Music Hub along with artists Alessandra Ausenda, Amanda Lorens and Lizzie Black. Together, the schools have created a dance piece, with music and costumes, based on the same themes and influences that originally inspired Christopher Bruce.

This exciting schools project will see local pupils in an inspiring promenade-style celebration of dance and music. Located in specially selected sites in and around the Mediterranean Biome at the Eden Project, from the spiral garden to the grand steps and the story telling space inside the biome, visitors are invited to follow the map provided, to find each performance and installation. This is a great opportunity to see the Eden Project in an entirely new way.
